Hospice care supplies
Shalom House is supported entirely by donations from families and friends and the community at large.
Guests are referred by their medical care providers, family members, or others when they recognize that additional support is needed and staying at home is no longer possible or safe.
We have accomodations for hospice families if they desire to be present 24/7. However, families often need this time away to recharge while we handle the overnight caregiving.
Pets are allowed to visit, under supervision, for short periods of time.
The kitchen is the heart of our home. You are welcome to cook a favorite family meal or enjoy a cup of soup with us.
You don't have to be a Christian to stay here. Our mission is rooted in the "Micah Mandate" to act justly and love mercy. We welcome neighbors of all faiths (or no faith) with the same level of unconditional love and respect.
Shalom is a Hebrew word meaning more than just peace; it implies wholeness, safety, and a sense of being "all right." Shalom is what we strive to provide for every guest and visitor.
